A 32 year old Texas woman, chief medical resident at a military institution, suffered a head injury while dining at a restaurant. She experienced paralysis, tingling and pain and continues to suffer from neurological impairment one year later. According to her attorney, she is unable to perform the full range of her professional duties, nor work at the pace of her colleagues. A medQuest medical recruiter, who places physicians nationwide, opined that the physician's future employability in the civilian community is severely impacted.
